Honoring International Women’s Day, the Alexander Kofkin Faculty of Engineering’s latest newsletter is dedicated to the faculty’s accomplished, impressive and successful women: Prof. Rachela Popovtzer, who advocates women in science, and shares the actions she, along with the rest of the lecturers, is doing to get more women to join the faculty; Prof. Osnat Keren presents her trailblazing secure hardware developments; Inbar Yariv talks about being a scientist and a mother; Merav Pasig-Antman reports from her post doc in New York; Tamar Dreyfuss and Michal Marcus share their excitement about winning prestigious scholarships; and Rochira Chacarburti, a post doc fellow from India, provides a glimpse into women scientists in her homeland. Strong women that we are, we also indulged Prof. Dror Fixler,  who recently began his tenure as head of BIU’s Institute for Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials.
